Rev. Jeremy F. Robertson SR. Th. B
Rev. J.F. Robertson Sr. was born in Jackson, Mississippi. He is the son of Rev. Fate Robertson, Jr. and Rosie Herod Robertson. He was raised in a devout Christian family environment with strong moral values. It was these strong and deep-rooted values that led him to convert at the tender age of eight. He is a product of the West Jackson community and is a graduate of the 2007 Class of Jim Hill High School in Jackson, MS.
On Valentine’s day, February 14, 2010, he accepted his call to preach the Gospel at the Free Mission M.B. Church. On May 16, 2010, he preached his first sermon entitled “I Feel Like Going On,” taken from 2nd Corinthians 4:8-10.
He joined the Mt. Center M.B. Church of Raymond, MS in March of 2011 under the leadership of Rev. Carlos Lewis. It was under Pastor Lewis leadership that Rev. Robertson was licensed and ordained. God began to move upon his ministry and doors began to open. He became a sought-out speaker and distinguished minister. Rev. Robertson served in many capacities while an associate minister at Mt. Center.
February 2014, Rev. J.F. Robertson, Sr. was called to Pastor the Historic Asia Baptist Church of Holmes County, MS. While pastoring in Holmes County, Rev. Robertson served as a Board member for the Lebanon District Baptist Association, 2nd Vice President for the Lebanon District Congress of Christian Education & Vice President of the Christian Ministers Coalition.
Rev. J.F. Robertson, Sr. matriculated at Kingdom Theological Seminary and holds an Associate Degree in Religious Education, a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology, and a Master’s Degree in Theology. He received the Award of Valor and Lamp of Knowledge Award by the Board of Directors on April 16, 2015.
On October 6, 2017, the members of Mt. Zion M. B. Church of Sioux City, IA elected Reverend Jeremy F. Robertson, Sr. as the twenty-third pastor of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. The Church rejoiced, knowing that God had once again, blessed Mt. Zion with a leader who refused to uproot the current foundation, rather to build upon the foundation that God has already established in the church.
He is an active member of the National Baptist Convention USA and International Congress of Churches & Ministers. He is a gifted preacher, singer, and comes from two lineages of preachers.
Rev. J.F. Robertson, Sr. is happily married to the former Keiona Marketa Ford and they are the proud parents of Kloei A’Miracle Robertson and Jeremy Fate Robertson, Jr.
His ministry objective is for God alone to be glorified. Because of this he long to preach the Gospel, apply God Word, and love his people. His philosophy in life: “There is no secret what God can do, what he’s done for others he’ll do the same for you.”
