Scripture: Matthew 28:1–7 (KJV)

There comes a moment in every life when you need more than inspiration—you need a spiritual breakthrough.

A moment when what’s been buried needs to rise again. A moment when what felt sealed shut must be opened. A moment when God is ready to move—but something is still in the way.

Sometimes the only thing standing between you and your breakthrough… is you.

In Matthew 28:1–7, we find the women coming to the tomb, expecting death—but encountering life.

The stone had been rolled away. Not to let Jesus out—but to reveal that He was already risen.

And that same resurrection power is still at work today.

Ready for a Spiritual Breakthrough? Sunday Is Here.

On Friday, it looked like it was over.

On Saturday, it felt silent.

But Sunday came.

Jesus rose—just like He said He would.

Your breakthrough may feel delayed—but it is not denied.

What the world couldn’t see… God was already doing.

It reminds me of the news story from 2010, when 33 Chilean miners were trapped deep beneath the earth. For 17 days, crews worked tirelessly to rescue them, although things seemed grim.

The miners were assumed dead by the world. A successful rescue was thought impossible. Famly members and news crews on the surface couldn’t see the truth — that the 33 men were alive all along.

That miraculous rescue is a powerful reminder that God’s breakthrough power is not dependent upon what we can see Him doing.

Sometimes your breakthrough is already in motion, even when everything around you says it’s over.

The Stone Wasn’t What Stood In The Way of Spiritual Breakthrough

Here’s the revelation:

The stone wasn’t rolled away to let Jesus out.

Jesus was already gone. Already alive. He had ALREADY conquered death.

The stone was rolled away so others could see what God had already done.

God has already moved—now it’s time for you to move.

Sometimes…

You are the stone that’s in the way.

1. Get Out of Your Own Way

The first barrier to your spiritual breakthrough isn’t your past. It’s not your enemies. It’s not your situation.

It’s you.

Your doubt.
Your fear.
Your unbelief.

Every time you say:

  • “It’s too late”
  • “I’ve messed up too much”
  • “God can’t fix this”

You’re rolling the stone back into place.

But hear this:

Your past does not disqualify your future.

Mary Magdalene—delivered from demons—was chosen as the first witness of the resurrection.

If God didn’t disqualify her, He’s not disqualifying you.

Stop explaining to God why your breakthrough can’t happen.

2. Get Out of Others’ Way

Sometimes the problem isn’t just what we’re blocking in our own lives…

It’s what we’re blocking in someone else’s.

Negative words.
Doubt-filled responses.
Discouraging attitudes.

When someone steps out in faith, don’t hand them fear.

Be a carrier of resurrection—not a barrier to breakthrough.

You cannot guard what God has already released.

Let people grow. Let people believe. Let people step into what God has for them.

3. Get Out of God’s Way

The most dangerous place you can stand…

Is between God and what He has already decided to do.

God’s timing doesn’t always make sense to us.

Friday didn’t look like victory.
Saturday didn’t feel like progress.

But Sunday was coming.

Don’t make a permanent decision in a temporary, Saturday season.

Some of you are living in “Saturday” right now.

It feels dark.
It feels quiet.
It feels like nothing is happening.

But God is working.

Your Breakthrough Is Already in Motion

What’s happening on the inside is greater than what you see on the outside.

The stone may still be there…

But the Savior is already gone.

And what God did then—He’s ready to do in your life.

If you want your spiritual breakthrough… let go—and get out of the way.

Let Him work.
Let Him move.
Let Him be God.
