All year, Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Sioux City, Iowa has been walking through Pastor Lauderdale’s message series titled Fixing What’s Broken to Build Back Better—a call to allow God to heal, rebuild, and restore every part of our lives. This book is a natural complement to that journey.
It’s designed to help readers reflect more deeply, apply Biblical truths more intentionally, and continue growing long after Sunday worship ends.
Even more, it extends our mission beyond our church walls, offering hope and guidance to believers and seekers wherever they may be.
Pastor Lauderdale has spent decades ministering to people carrying wounds—sometimes from life, and sometimes from other Christians. These encounters fuel his compassion for the hurting and his desire to help God’s people overcome spiritual, emotional, and relational brokenness.
This book is one more way he invites readers to acknowledge what’s damaged, confront what’s hurting, and trust God to rebuild their lives for His glory.
The book Fixing What’s Broken to Build Back Better by Pastor Robert N. Lauderdale Sr. blends Scripture, pastoral wisdom, and practical guidance to help readers:
Recognize the impact of brokenness
Understand God’s purpose in rebuilding
Experience true healing
Strengthen their walk with Christ
It’s more than a book—it’s an invitation to let God restore what life has fractured.
Robert N. Lauderdale Sr. accepted Christ at age eight and answered God’s call to ministry as a teenager. After moving to Sioux City, he met his wife, Melinda, and together they have faithfully served the Lord and raised their twin sons.
Pastor Lauderdale now serves as the 24th pastor of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Sioux City, Iowa. His ministry reflects God’s mandate to bring healing, restoration, and truth to the community he loves.
This book is Volume One, with more resources coming soon, including a study guide. To God be the glory!
